The Design Process
The First Meeting
An opportunity for us to walk through your yard and for you to share your ideas for its design. Before we finish I take some time to share with you my experience and to show some examples of my work.
The Proposal & Site Analysis
Based upon our discussions I will develop a proposal, a preliminary budget, including my fee structure and mail it to you for your consideration. Once the proposal is signed, the design process begins in earnest with a complete site analysis, measurements, and photos.
Preliminary Design & Second Meeting
Based upon my site analysis, I will produce a functional diagram and two plan options for the site, along with a plant list and updated budget. We'll meet a second time to go over the plans and come to a consensus on the best possible plan for the final product.
The Master Plan & Final Meeting
The Master Plan is produced, incorporating your final suggestions. A final plant list, and detailed budget brings the design phase to a close. Once a deposit is received for the implementation phase, a date can be set for installation.
Installation
Gardenview Design is an optimum design firm, meaning we don't turn over the design to an unknown installation contractor. In order to assure the plan is implemented as envisioned, we will act as Project Manager for the installation, working with a known quality installation team.
Maintenance
If you would like to retain us for the upkeep of your new landscape, we do that too. And because we designed and installed your new space, we will know exactly what it needs to stay healthy and beautiful throughout the years.
